Printable marathon pace band

A pace band is a strip you wear on your wrist that lists the elapsed time you should see at each mile or kilometre marker. Choose your distance and goal below, check the band preview, then print it. The strip is 40 × 240 mm and comes with a 50 mm ruler, so you can confirm your printer did not shrink it.

What other pace bands do not give you

We checked the top 5 US and UK results for “marathon pace band” on 24 September 2026. The free generators print at a scale you cannot check (one forces A4 at 75%), paid bands come in fixed goal times on silicone or waterproof paper, and none offers a negative-split or run/walk band. One generator labels its finish time with a whole-kilometre marker. This band carries a ruler, prints on A4 or Letter, and its last row is always the exact finish distance.

How to print and wear it

  1. Print at 100% (“Actual size”), not “Fit to page”, with headers and footers off. Only the band and its instructions print.
  2. Measure the 50 mm ruler. If it is not 50 mm, your printer rescaled the page; fix the scale setting and print again.
  3. Cut along the dashed border. The strip is 240 mm long; wrap it around your wrist with the table facing you and tape the overlapping ends together.
  4. Read elapsed time, not your watch's distance. Check the race clock or your watch's elapsed time at each marker.

If you expect rain or heavy sweat, cover the strip with clear tape before cutting. Long plans (every mile of a marathon, or every kilometre) print in smaller rows so they still fit one strip.

What was checked

On 24 September 2026, the print layout was saved as PDF in Chrome on A4 and on Letter paper for the 5K, 10K, half marathon and marathon, including a 27-row marathon split by mile. Each fits on one page, with the band at 40 × 240 mm and the ruler at 50 mm. A PDF check cannot confirm how your printer will scale the band, so measure the printed ruler.
